Just about everyone that has come to my front door has had a nice complement. Just because you are getting older you can still put a little spunk in your life with this fun Gecko, stop being so drab. I have yet to have someone not smile and compliment us about them. I had one issue, which I called Company's Coming about. They were very pleasant to deal with over the phone and handled the small problem to my satisfaction. Its really nice to have a company that still believes in and practices customer service. It is exactly what the description states - a doorbell cover made of a polyresin (not metal or wood). It seems very solid/durable to me (if treated right). The product is much more vibrant than the picture displays - and that's a good thing. It comes with directions on how to install it, not too difficult. Doorbell button related help/definitions
Graduated Payment Mortgage (GPM) - A fixed -rate, fixed -schedule loan. It starts with lower payments than a level payment loan; payments rise annually, with the entire increase being used to reduce the outstanding balance. Hip roof - A roof that rises by inclined planes from all four sides of a building.
Mullion - A vertical divider in the frame between windows, doors, or other openings.
Sheet rock - Drywall -Wall board or gypsum - A manufactured panel made out of gypsum plaster and encased in a thin cardboard. Usually 1/2" thick and 4' x 8' or 4' x 12' in size. The 'joint compound'. 'Green board' type drywall has a greater resistance to moisture than regular (white) plasterboard and is used in bathrooms and other "wet areas".
Sole plate - The bottommost horizontal part of a stud partition. When a plate rests on a foundation, it's called a sill plate.
Spandrel - The space between two openings which are one above the other in a wall.
Specifications or Specs - A narrative list of materials, methods, model numbers, colors, allowances, and other details which supplement the information contained in the blue prints. Written elaboration in specific detail about construction materials and methods. Written to supplement working drawings.
Taping - The process of covering drywall joints with paper tape and joint compound.
Volt (V) - A measure of electrical pressure. Volts x amps = watts.
Weatherization - Work on a building exterior in order to reduce energy consumption for heating or cooling. Work involving adding insulation, installing storm windows and doors, caulking cracks and putting on weather -stripping.
